Federal Employee Resources

Federal Employee checklist

RSS provides a number of services to the federal employee seeking greater understanding about their benefits and insight into how they can be used optimally as part of both managing risk during their careers and confidently integrating them into a successful retirement.

1. Federal Employee Benefits Analysis (FEBA)

This is a deep dive into YOUR employees’ retirement benefits elections. Federal employees possess one of the most competitive and complex benefits packages available. At Retirement Systems Solutions (RSS), we recognized long ago that access to the correct interpretation and application of these benefits has been elusive for many employees. For this reason, all students will have the opportunity to receive a personalized Federal Employee Benefits Analysis (FEBA) on a complimentary basis. This allows them to finally tell their story!

Our FEBA Process is Simple:

A)     We perform a Federal Service Review, collecting the details of your federal work history. This typically involves a 15-30 minute conversation and document collection/review

B)     We combine your review information with the benefits data that you have provided, analyzing your selections and prepare your Federal Employee Benefits Analysis

C)     We create and deliver your comprehensive FEBA with a detailed analysis of your federal benefits, highlighting, with you, ways that you can ensure that you are maximizing them.

2. Healthcare Solutions Review (HSR)

One of the key benefits available to federal employees, and federal retirees, is the Federal Employee Health Benefits exchange. On an annual basis, you have the privilege of analyzing which of the approximately 250+ different health benefit plans offered on the exchange might best meet your needs for the coming year.

RSS encourages federal employees to, periodically, undergo a Healthcare Solutions Review. RSS has a deep working knowledge of each of the plans available and we offer to the employee the ability to analyze with a professional, their current healthcare plan and how/where/when they actually use it, and provide a second opinion about which plans should be considered for their individual needs.

3. RSS Public Training Opportunities

Some federal employees find that they could benefit from additional benefits training above that which is provided by their agency. RSS provides the opportunity for federal employees to privately host their own virtual benefits clinic. This is an opportunity for you and your colleagues to coordinate your own private benefits training session. These sessions are delivered through our Virtual Learning program and are typically hosted in the evening. These sessions have become very popular, as they allow for a more informal approach, received in the comforts of home.

4. Ask The Expert

In addition to the above programs, on a continuous basis, Retirement Systems Solutions serves as a resource to those federal employees who simply have either a specific question about benefits, or to serve as a sounding board, offering an informed second opinion.
